Kaylee's 6 month baby photos

Kaylee had the honor of being the first baby photographed in my newest prop. I got this great basin and pitcher from my mom who recently moved and decided to sell all her antiques! I snagged it before she even had a chance to put a price tag on it and I'm glad I did. Little Kaylee looks just adorble in it! I've done similar photos in a less ornate basin but this one is way cuter and perfect for baby girls. 6 months is the best age for this type of photo because baby is usually starting to sit up and can hold on to the edges for support. Collages for Alexis

Here are a couple collages designs I worked up for Alexis. Alexis came in for senior photos a couple months ago. We got a bunch of great "Marilyn Monroe" shots that worked perfectly for these collages. This particular design prints out as a 10x15 inch print and costs $20 unmounted or $25 mounted. Christmas Deadlines

Christmas Deadlines – 2008

Orders:

Regular print orders received by December 15th will be ready on or before December 23rd.
Orders with retouching, editing, etc, must be received by December 8th to be by December 23rd.
Over-sized prints should be ordered no later than December 10th to be ready be December 23rd.

Cards & Collages:

Submissions for new collages to be designed must be received by December 8th. From there, the collages will be designed within a couple days and must be approved and ordered no later than December 15th in order to have them back by December 23rd.

It is recommended that all submissions for custom card designs be received by December 5th. From there cards will be designed and must be approved, and ordered before December 8th if you want to get them back in time to mail out (December 18th or 19th). Or before December 15th if you plan on hand delivering and need them (received December 23rd).

Wedding Albums and Storybooks:

Submissions for new wedding albums to be designed must be received by November 7th. The design will be completed by November 30th. From there the design must be approved and the albums ordered according to the dates as follows:

Storybook Album: Must be ordered by December 15th to be ready by December 23rd.
Italian Album (photographic cover): Must be ordered December 8th to be ready December 23rd.
Italian Album (leather cover: Must be ordered December 3rd to be ready December 23rd.
Soft cover Mini Albums: Must be ordered by December 15th to be ready by December 23rd.

It is recommended that you submit all requests for changes to be made to you album design as soon as possible in order to ensure that your album can be ordered in time. Changes typically take a few days to be completed. If possible, please submit all changes before the end of November if possible. Otherwise, submit them within the first week of December in order to ensure you've got enough time to approve of the changes and get the album ordered in time.

Add 3-4 days to the deadlines above if you plan on having orders mailed!!!!

Maternity Leave

As many of you already know, we are expecting a baby and are due to give birth in late November. Because of this, I will be cutting back on sessions in November and December.

During these two months I will NOT be accepting appointments for the following:
Family Sessions
High School Senior Sessions
Regular Children's Sessions
Couples/Engagement Sessions
Business Portrait Sessions
Pet Sessions

I will, however, continue to book:
Maternity
Newborns
Baby's First Year (any babies under 1 year old)
Birthday Sessions (only if child's birthday is in November or December)

I will continue to take and process orders on all previous sessions and I will be offering specials and discounts throughout noevember on extra products and gift certificates so keep checking back often to catch the great deals.

Orders typically take 1-2 weeks before they come in. If your order was placed in late November, please don't be surprized if your pictures are a little later than that. We will do everything we can to make sure your pictures are delivered in a timely manner because we know a lot of you use pictures as Christmas presents.

Here are a few fall/birthday cards I recently made. These designs are for postcards, so the back will have a personal greeting, return address, and space for a stamp.

Sunset and how to relates to outdoor photos

Did you know that the sun sets earlier in October? Many people don't think about it, but the earlier sunset means that outdoor pictures must be taken earlier in the evening. By 6:00 and 7:00 it's just too dark to get any good pictures outside. So, if you were thinking about getting some nice outdoor fall pictures, you'll want to get your session scheduled for 5:00 or earlier. This may mean getting off work early or skipping soccer practice. Normally, the next best option would be to come in on a weekend. Unfortunately, my weekends are completely booked for the rest of this month and I won't be booking sessions for the month of November because I'll be on maternity leave. If you really wanted outdoor photos, I can recommend a friend photographer who may be able to get you in on a weekend and who has similar prices. Call me for her contact information.

Newborn Twins! Portraits by Larissa Photography

Here are a few photos I recently did of a set of newborn twins in St. Louis at a home shoot. These two were adorable and did great getting their pictures taken! I had a lot of fun trying different poses with the twins.
